The quality control process in GD PACKAGING GROUP embraces the whole product development at 360°, and consists of four main phases:

1. The raw materials control

All major suppliers are committed to accompanying their raw materials with certificates of conformity, and in all production sites a checkpoint lab takes a sample from each delivery to monitor the accordance with the quality requirements.

2. The in-line control
   Each coating line is controlled by experienced operators and is equipped with modern control systems which monitor in real time important mechanical and process parameters that affect the final quality of the products.
3. The semi-finished product control
   For both backing and semi-finished products, samples are constantly taken during the production and tested using standard tools and methodologies to immediately check the main features of the products and their quality performance.
4. The daily control of the finished product
   “Bottom-up” approach characterized by the selection of a sample of each item that represents the daily production, directly sent to the converting department in order to obtain the finished products (rolls), that are analyzed by the main LAB in order to check the qualitative evolution of production and its impact on their performance.
